A loyal fan dedicates oneself to their favorite teams throughout their whole journey. They watch and support through all the matches their favorite team competes. They are the ones who are not satisfied when their team to just win the respective matches, but instead SHOULD BE THE TOP 1 OF THE EVENT!
Who will be taking the cup this year? Argentina? Senegal? Or maybe a wild card will be the winner of the World Cup this year? Who do you think will be the top 16 teams this World Cup?

Event 1: Cheer for your team in the Group Match
Rule: You will need to stake an S or S+ hero to cheer for your team in each of the group matches.

Read this to learn about how to get Defina Heroes and Level them up. If you have 1st Generation Defina hero, please read the mirror rules to be able to participate in this world cup event.
Step 1: Go to defina.finance/worldcup
Step 2: Go Stake & Cheer
Step 3: Scroll down and Choose [Group Match]
Note: The lighted hero picture means you have that card in your inventory
Step 4: Cheer by staking your S or S+ Hero to the matchup
Each NFT can only be staked once for a team (100 general credits/stake). Players can stake multiple duplicate NFTs per team.
You could choose to stake on one team winning or a tie (you only need either of the heroes to bet on a tie).
You could stake as many heroes as you want as long you have multiple same heroes representing that team. And each NFT could only be staked once per match.
Note: You will not be able to unstake your Hero until the event ends.
That’s all the steps of cheering your team for the Group matches! You will win 200 credits/hero staked if you choose the correct match result.
Event 2: Cheer for the Top 16 Ranking Teams
Step 1: On the same page, click on [Top 16 Ranking]
Step 2. Become a Fan of your World Cup team by staking a SS and above Hero that corresponds to the country they represent.
Press the [ + ] to add Heroes to Stake. You will need credits to Stake.
Each NFT can only be staked once for a team (100 general credits/stake). Players can stake multiple duplicate NFTs per team.
The window for betting for the top 16 teams will be open until the last group match ends. All 32 teams are available to be staked on.
Credits for this event will be claimable at the end of the World Cup. The players will get reward credits depending on the outcome. You have 7 days after the World Cup ends to claim your credits.
Note: the last date to claim your reward credit is December 25th.
Credit System Explained
There are two types of credits: General credits and Reward credits.
General Credits are earned by exchanging FINA on a 1:1 ratio. Each wallet address will automatically get 500 General Credits to start.
Reward Credits are only earned by having cheered on the winning team.
Note: Both General and Reward Credits cannot be exchanged back to FINA once purchased or won.
Both credits can be used to cheer a team on. General credits will always be used first, but if there are no general credits available then reward credits will be used.
How could I earn Reward Credits?
- Winning in the Group Match will reward you 200 Reward Credits if the team you cheered wins.
2. Cheering for the team in the Top 16 Ranking will get you a proportionate reward credit in the given formula below.
Reward Credits =(# Hero Staked)*(100*Team Placement Modifier*NFT Rarity Modifier)
Example: A player spends 1000 Credits and staked 5 SS+ Beowulf and 5 SSS Beowulf to become a fan to cheer 10 times for [Qatar]. Qatar wins the World Cup and is ranked 1.
SS+ Beowulf and SSS Beowulf
[5*(100*30*3)]+ [5*(100*30*8)] = 165,000
The player will get 165,000 reward credits at the end of the World Cup.
How to get more General Credit for Cheering?
You could click buy credits, and use FINA to purchase general credits for cheering more teams. 1 FINA = 1 General Credit.
You could purchase FINA through DEX, like PancakeSwap.
Reward Credit Leaderboards and Prize Pool
Reward Credits are used to determine your ranking on the share of the prize pool. You will get your share of the prize pool when the World Cup event ends.
The Prize Pool will be 70% of the merge fees collected from day 1 of the event up to the end of the event. The remaining 15% will be used to buy back FINA, 15% will go to team development and marketing costs + gas fee for the smart contract event.
The top 3 wallet addresses with the highest reward credits will receive 20% of the prize pool (1st place 12%, 2nd place 5%, and 3rd place 3%).
Example:
Total Prize Pool: 3,000 $BNB (70% of total merging costs)
- 1st place reward is: 3,000 $BNB * 12% = 360 $BNB
- 2nd place reward is: 3,000 $BNB * 5% = 150 $BNB
- 3rd place reward is 3,000 $BNB *3% =90 $BNB
The rest of the players will share the remaining 50% based on the reward credits percentages. (1st, 2nd, and 3rd players will also get a share based on their credits)
Example: A player is ranked 5th and he/she has 25,000 Reward Credits.
There are 20,000 players who played and the total reward credits from all the players is 1,000,000 credits
- 25,000 reward credits/ 1,000,000 Total Credits = 2.5%
So 5th Player has a 2.5% share of the Reward Credits.
The 5th player will get 60 BNB from the event.
Reward Calculation Breakdown: 3,000 $BNB * 80% * 2.5% =60 BNB
