Could you please introduce yourself and tell us about your background?
Tradesgiving: Thank you for having us here BlockManiaDAO!
Hello everyone, my name is Daniel and I’m head of Business Development at Defina. I first discovered Defina from one of my favorite youtubers: Alex Becker and immediately fell in love with their art. It reminded me of my favorite game, Final Fantasy 7!
I joined Defina community member at the start when they opened their Discord and then volunteered to become a moderator. I started helping give random marketing tips along with creating youtube tutorials on the game. Kiki, our CMO, then asked to help manage KOL’s which I gladly accepted! A few months later, Nikki our COO, asked me to become head of business development as we expanded our game studio which I was so humbled to accept.
I previously worked in business development in the fitness industry for 6 years, but never guessed that I would use that experience for my passion of Web3 gaming. Glad everything came full circle haha.
Could you please introduce your projects (visions, advantages, and …) ?
Tradesgiving: Happy to! Defina is an anime RPG game where players can collect NFT characters to assemble teams with various factions and fun game modes such as adventure mode, PvP arena for our competitive 1 on 1 players, Guild Wars for a 10 player vs. 10 team experience- it gets super intense. My team Acid Lions is facing the Thieves Guild right now in a top 8 match and it’s going back and forth every round.
Another game mode is Nightmare City which is a dungeon clearing experience. There are a ton of other new features such as equipment crafting, star map, 12 new heroes, expanded adventure mode levels, and so much more to be discovered!
We welcome all types of Definians: we love people who create content such as fan art, memes, videos, fan fiction and our members that love to actively trade our $FINA token too! We have an international community base with lots of members from China, Japan, USA, Brazil, Germany, France, South Africa, Phillipines, and we’re looking to expand even further.
For our game studio, we’re actively becoming a lot more transparent this year along with releasing our other awesome games for y’all to try! It’ll be so fun when our games connect in their own fun metaverse where the characters, storylines, community members, and everything else will be integrated together utilizing blockchain technology. We’ve been working on it for a while and we believe our community members will love it a lot.
How do you think the integration of AI and VR technologies will enhance the user experience in Web3?
Tradesgiving: For AI, the performance of gaming teams will be improved such as with faster customer service from AI, faster analyses of market trends and community sentiment, auto-generated coding templates, game-asset creation, and so much more utility!
Furthermore, unique experiences such as talking with NPC’s for newer conversations each time based on your interactions or interactions with other people may be integrated. Also dungeon experiences may vary each time which will be so cool.
For VR and AR, I’m very excited about the space in regards to mobile gaming and website focused games. Being able to utilize VR + AR anywhere whether that be traveling to a different country or relaxing at home will be a game changer! Utilizing both these tools to create a more immersive experience utilizing accessible mobile devices will be so awesome to see.
How can developers and businesses prepare for the shift to Web3 and the integration of AI/VR technologies?
Tradesgiving: Great question. It would probably be in their best interest to embrace it and don’t be afraid of the incoming changes. It’s totally fine to be cautious and scared of new technologies that may disrupt the current status norm. However, it may be beneficial to learn how to utilize these technologies to gain a competitive advantage.
For our team at Defina, we’ve been experimenting with tools such as Chatgpt, Midjourney, and constantly researching about the latest advancements to implement them into our toolkits. I’ve seen some new cool tools pop up such as copying team member’s voices to generate voice memos, video enhancers, meeting auto-transcriptions, and more to improve performance. All so exciting!
What do you think the future holds for Web3, AI, and VR, and how will they continue to evolve and impact your projects and our lives
Tradesgiving: Integrating Web3 with AI, VR, and AR will be so exciting! It’s so fascinating seeing such brilliant people come together to innovate in each of these fields and I think it will overall be a positive change for the future.
Utilizing these tools will allow us to better overcome language + cultural barriers, create more immersive experiences with our loved ones, and test the boundaries of human limits.
Our game studio hopes to be at the forefront of this innovation by constantly researching and integrating these technologies where we can to make the best games possible. We hope to share these new games with you in these next upcoming months, and are so excited for y’all to join our community :)
