Hello Definians, here’s the third episode of the Defina Fam Interviews! In these intimate talks, we get a personal view of how our beloved community members got to where they are today.
In today’s event, we are excited to have Link, an amazing regional moderator from Indonesia! He was one of the early pioneers that laid the foundations of the Discord community. So let’s get into his journey ⭐.

- Hey Link, very excited to have you here! I’m curious, what made you take that leap of faith to apply to become a regional moderator so early with Defina?
-Link: heyy glad to be here! Back then when Defina was still at the early stage, it really stood out to me since the team already had an actual working product. While comparing it to other projects, they just only promised a game.
Also, the game and the art itself were really interesting when I first saw it and I knew for sure that Defina was gonna be big! Lastly, the community was super solid back then and it still is to this date!
2. Yess the artwork is so beautiful, and we have such a strong core community 💪. What’s your experience been like as a moderator? And what made you stay for so long?
-Link: Well it’s been really interesting and I’ve learned quite a lot from the team. I’m really thankful for this opportunity 💓. It’s really fun to engage and help the community. The Defina community is really the best and super fun to talk to. I’ve made a lot of friends here and Defina feels like a family to me!
While at the same time, I got to learn that building a project is not as easy as people think, and the idea of Defina creating a game with the community together really stands out to me! I learned the importance of having a solid and strong community.
3. The Defina Fam is awesome! It’s been an eventful journey building Defina for sure haha. How do you think our Defina community has evolved from the beginning until now? And what improvements would you like to see?
-Link: The growth of the community is very awesome! It started with only a small group of people back then. As the game keeps growing, I see more new names coming up and becoming more active every day and recently we have new knights too! They have contributed a lot to Defina and I love them all 💓. But one thing remains the same, the community really feels like a friendly family that is willing to help newcomers that are starting out in the game!
To improve, I personally would like to have more games xD especially in times when the market is uncertain, we can try to plan more daily activities such as movie nights maybe XD that could be fun haha! Or just daily rumble will do. I miss the good old event where there are quizzes every Friday night and everyone would turn up xD.
4. Great suggestion with the game nights, we can definitely include those! Here’s a fun question: which Defina character do you think you would be best friends with?
-Link: That’s an interesting question! I feel like Nicolaus(above) and I will be buddies especially when he always rocks a guitar xD. I love listening to music haha. I really enjoy all kinds of genres, but lately, I’ve been listening to pop-rock a lot xD.
Some people may not agree with me but Machine Gun Kelly’s music is fire 🔥. Also, I know Jaydee[and Ace Buchanon] make music too!
5. Great choice with Nicolas and our Definians really are talented! You also mentioned somewhere you were into FPS games 🔫. Which are your favorites? And are there any FPS NFT games you’re into?
-Link: Yeah! I’m really into FPS games! I spent a lot of hours playing CSGO, R6, and Valorant. But now mainly I only play Valorant when my squad is online xD. As for NFT FPS games, I haven’t actually found any at the moment, only been researching about art NFTs lol.
6. Curious about your selection of art NFTs. What do you personally look for before investing in one?
-Link: Well since it’s an art project, definitely the art XD. At the end of the day, you gotta like the art first before investing in it! Secondly maybe the community and how people are passionate about the project itself. And last but not least, the potential utility or the mint price should be taken into consideration before investing in a project.
But with that being said, most of the time I will ape into art that I like without doing proper research, so don’t try this at home please xDD.
7. Appreciate your great tips 😊. Very curious about your Indonesian background. What’s your favorite part about living there? Also how popular is crypto in your area?
-Link: Well definitely the food! As an Indonesian, I’m really proud of how diverse the races are in Indonesia and yet we are still united as one! “Bhinneka Tunggal Ika” is an Indonesian official principle that means even though we are different we are united as one, Indonesia. But a little fun fact, I’ve actually been studying in Singapore for the past 6 years xD, so I really miss Indonesia and I haven’t been able to go back home for almost 2 years now due to covid and busy with my university stuff.
Also, my favorite food is Batagor, it’s like a fried fish paste with crunchy texture on the outside and slightly chewy on the inside, then it is poured with a peanut sauce as the dressing. Absolutely miss this, and definitely will be the first thing I’d go for when I go back home! And thank you! I really miss my parents and family back in Indonesia!
8. Thank you for sharing your background! Definitely need to try Batagor(below) haha. Here’s a random question. If you had 1000 ETH, what would you spend it on?
-Link: First thing that comes to my mind is definitely to get Solomon and Oda and Alfred and after that, I will probably buy myself a few blue chips NFT in all networks. Ouroboros number 1 XD.
But I won’t spend it all of course. I would probably donate a portion of it too for charity such as the ongoing war in Ukraine and Russia and some to a cancer charity. And maybe liquidate some and maybe buy a vacation trip for my family xD.
9. Sounds like a plan aha. For a final question, what advice would you give to another friend that’s new to crypto?
-Link: I would say that they must be prepared to lose the amount of money but at the same time be extra cautious about it! This is to ensure that they will do proper research about something that they want to invest in. And perhaps advising them to do proper research and learn about the thing they want to invest in.
Lastly, to trust their instinct and don't always listen to others’ opinions. Being early is really the way to go in this market and thus doing a lot of research will really benefit you.
