Hello Definians, here’s the seventh episode of the Defina Fam Interviews! In these intimate talks, we get a personal view of how our beloved community members got to where they are today.
In today’s episode, we are excited to have Helius, our awesome graphics designing specialist! So let’s dive into his story 🖌.

Hi Helius, glad to have you here today! How did you get started with graphic designing and NFT gaming?
Helius: I love computer stuff and as a hobby I just do whatever is possible with one. Designing or digital drawing was one of my hobbies behind a computer screen and I’ve been doing it for more than 15 years and you can see some of my other work on Deviantart.
I wasn’t into NFTs before Defina. Actually the first NFTs that I owned were Defina heroes.
It’s awesome that Defina was your first NFT gaming experience! So how did you find out about Defina and start working for the team? Your edits are awesome!
Helius: Yes, I can share one of my favorites from a few years ago (above). I never felt more welcome in a team. It’s an honor to work alongside the Defina team and yourself.
It’s a funny story, one day I saw Defina project in Seedify and I thought I should buy a few tokens, long story short that was a good choice and it 18x my money. I didn’t know about the project but after getting that profit I was pretty curious to learn more, So I decided to join Defina’s discord, and the moment I joined the chat, Nikki send a message that whoever replies to her message will get whitelisted for the next NFT sale, So I just randomly replied and even more randomly got whitelisted for 4 boxes!!!
I wasn’t sure if I should buy those boxes or not so I asked my wife and she said do it, So I did and it was a good decision because I got 2SS and 2S, So I got even more curious about Defina and started to create wallpapers and other stuff for it, Ariel saw my work and he helped me into the team. Without Ariel I wouldn’t be part of Defina.
Glad you had such a great experience with the community! We love having you here 💓. If you could design a skin for a character, who would it be?
Helius: My favorite character is Morgan le Fay. I already made some more content for her but cannot publicly share those, maybe in future I share them with our community.
Can’t wait to see them! Also noticed you’re in the Champions program. What’s your experience been like there? And how do you think we can expand it in the long term?
Helius: It’s a great program, it helps Defina as a project and also helps people find scholarships, you know I’m part of this program as a scholarship myself and my experience so far was pretty good.
I believe it will be sustainable but if we get a lot of champions in future, I hope the scholarship feature gets added inside the game so it requires less moderation.
That feature would be excellent haha. Heard you were a big League of Legends fan! Who’s your fav character in it? And what do you feel is something Defina can learn from LoL to apply here to improve?
Helius: My fav league character is also Morgana(above) but she is not le Fay (unfortunately). I think we could have monthly or seasonal events like LoL, they are very exciting to play and give players great rewards.
And also random temporary fun mods that keeps the game fresh all the time. The rewards could be nft skins or profile skins, I also want to see viewable profiles added to Defina so players can showcase their nft and pfp.
Great ideas, will note them down 📃. I believe you mentioned you were from Krakow, Poland! How did you like growing up there? And what do people from there generally think of crypto?
Helius: I was originally born in Tehran, Iran but I married to my online gf who was from Krakow and moved to her. We met in LoL, she was a Morgana main. She doesn’t play LoL anymore, she only plays Defina, she has more heroes than me now 😂.
Growing up in Tehran I was usually behind a computer, most of my friends were non Iranians, people of Iran are extremely into crypto, because of inflation, they prefer to hold crypto than Iranian currency (Rial). The youth of Poland are also really into crypto, I think even Wojak is from Poland lol.
Wow I love your love story and how you both met! Who will be the first couple of Defina 😳? Here’s a last question I’m curious to learn from you. If someone wanted to learn a new creative skill, how would you recommend them go about it?
Helius: Youtube is their best friend, I learn everything from Youtube, even how to make coffee. It’s the best place to learn stuff, start with Youtube tutorials and be consistent.
You don’t have to be creative from the beginning, just try to take elements from different works and put them together, after a while you discover your creativity.
