Defina’s vision is to create a fun game that incorporates blockchain technology to let players own their game assets while enjoying rewards from playing games.
We started the innovative journey in May 2021. Since then, we’ve accomplished a lot with development of different game modes and formed many partnerships with other blockchain projects. We are continually working on developing our game features and forming important partnerships with Guilds and other ecosystem players.
We understand that the market is going through a turbulent time due to the uncertain economic and political factors, which puts a lot of stress on the community and Defina team members. However, the team is resilient and is continually working towards our goals to deliver game modes while adjusting game economics.
With unprecedented times, we needed to zoom out and take a look at the whole picture:
“What is our goal? What is our vision? What are we trying to solve? Are we bringing value to the Blockchain and gaming industry? What would the future look like? And are we on the right path?”
We had a lot of discussions as the team members brought up different opinions and feedback. We know that balancing the easy-to-earn and fun-to-play is quite tricky and difficult. Moreover, the blockchain gaming industry is still in its infant stage, we are exploring, researching and finding the possibilities to make an innovative solution for players.
The ultimate answer that investors and the team asks is, “How could FINA capture the value and be sustainable?”
The answer is to create an enjoyable game that players will continue to play regardless of external factors, a game that is innovative and fun. Without playability, a game won’t survive in the long-term.
Evaluating our gameplay and graphics, we are well ahead of other gamefi projects in the current market. However, we recognize we are not the best and the game playability still has a lot of room to grow. To ensure FINA stands out for the future competitive market where more and more game projects pivot from earn to playability, we will have to improve the current gameplay design and follow our vision to produce a fun game that introduces blockchain to vast players.
Finaverse Main Elements
In order to accomplish the above goal, we’ve identified a few critical elements the future gameplay should have and focus on.
METAVERSE: a real community where players can interact with other players and build and own a piece of the defina world.
Game Roles: everyone should be able to find a role in the Defina game to build the Finaverse together; either you are a landlord, a builder, a creator, an adventurer, a fighter, or a material producer.
Low Entry Level: the entry should also be open and lower so more players could join and try out the game.
Social: players should be able to interact with other players and join Guilds to build things together.
Competitive Gameplay: players should be able to challenge each other and have fun making the strategic build.
Value Old Players while Welcoming New Players: protect the value of the first edition NFT while lowering the entry barrier for new players for mass adoption to create Finaverse together.

Finaverse features, gameplay designs and development will follow the above main elements.
Important Note: Designs are not fixed, we will share a concept map with the community in a few days. Community members could post their ideas and suggestions to co-design the gameplay with the Defina Development Team on our Discord.
The following are some sneak peek Finaverse Land concept ideas (more will be shared as we progress):
- There will be private lands, guild lands, and public lands.
- Players will be able to enter different game modes through the public lands portals (Battle Royale, PVP fights, Guild tournament, etc.)
- Private landowners could construct buildings or co-found a building with other players. The landowner could hire other players to speed up the construction. The landowner could collect fees from players who need to use their building. [Store, Blacksmith Shop, Health Regeneration Station, etc.]
- There will be scarce resources for buildings and weapons, and the resources will be dropped from adventure modes and special events.
- Public land requires all players to build together to unlock new features and technology.
Regarding the First Edition Heroes
A lot of players have asked us what will happen after 96k heroes (first edition) are all minted. We will have a detailed article explaining how it is going to play out. The first edition nfts are going to have some special benefits and we will reveal it later as the development progress and a more detailed game mode gets revealed. Please stay tuned!
What could you expect before we release the Finaverse?
- The Mystic Points redemption for discounted Mystic chest will be 500 for the next patch update.
- The next patch update will have an updated invitation system. (A new patch article will be shared before the update)
- The 5% reduction will continue to take place weekly until the launch of Finaverse where the economic model will be updated based on the new game modes that are going to be released soon. The gameplay and economic system will be shared before we launch the game so players can understand it first.
- Before we release Finaverse, we will change the current PVP game mode to allow more players to join the arena using different rarity levels. There will be a hero rarity bracket, for example, SS ranked Arena battles will only allow SS, S and A heroes to compete. [Details will be in the next patch article]
- Defina is preparing to integrate onto another chain to expand and attract players from a different ecosystem.
- We will line up the official launch with the Finaverse launch as some of the current game modes will be replaced to bring a better gaming experience to all kinds of players. (estimate 2–3 months) Moreover, after careful evaluation, the team also believes that the current market condition is not suitable for mass marketing before we release new innovative Metaverse gameplay. We will be making sure we can get the most out of marketing and developing a game to onboard more players.
- We will provide a weekly update on our game modes and technology development before we officially launch Finaverse. We will release the game design weekly and community members could provide feedback and suggestions to us.
