Hello Definians!
Hope you all started off your week strong!💪 We will give everyone an overview of the things we have planned for the upcoming weeks.
🗞Marketing
We will publish a bi-weekly report to help the community to recap what we’ve accomplished in the past two weeks.
We are working on establishing more media coverage in Asian countries, including Vietnam, the Philippines, and Indonesia. If you are from a country where crypto and gamefi are quite popular, please feel free to suggest to us the KOLs and media channels that we should reach out to. We would love to tap into new markets as we grow, we will need your local knowledge to help us find the best channels. We have some volunteers in each regional group so you can also share your suggestions with them if you are not comfortable with English and eventually we will evaluate your suggestions.
🚀Game Launch Preparation
The official game won’t be launched this week, it will be someday in November. An official launch date will be announced when we’re close to launching, same applies to the next NFT sale. The beta test will be closed on Tuesday, and the devs will take back the feedback and bug reports to improve on the current version. We may do a third-round test on testnet before the official game launch to ensure all the steps are carefully managed. The launch date will depend on tech development as well as marketing promotion events we are trying to close. It will be worth the wait if it gets delayed because of something exciting we are trying to bring to you.
We will also update our whitepaper and provide a user guide to get you prepared for the official game launch. The game mechanics have been changed quite a lot as we initially outlined. We will keep the whitepaper updated, and please use the whitepaper as a guide, as the final stats and contents will be set after the official game launch.
💡Creating Metaverse with Definians
The community has provided us with a lot of great feedback. And the development team are working on planning out the next update of the game as we are close to bringing out the first version of the game. So what we are going to do later this month is to reveal the things the devs have planned out to the community. We will then ask the community to provide feedback and suggestions as well as propose a game mode you would like to see in Defina. We will collect your feedback and set up a vote. The top votes will be brought back to the devs, and will then evaluate if it’s doable. And we also want to use this as an opportunity to see what kind of features and modes we should prioritize. After an internal discussion, we will then update a new game development roadmap with the community.
🏋️♀️Community & Governance
Currently, we are working on the details of the community governance and the voting channel. Voting results will be used to guide us to steer in the direction of the communities interest. However, the game development and final decisions are centralized at this stage as the project is still in its early stage. We believe using a centralized operation while taking into community’s feedback is critical to make sure that the project will be successful in the early development stage.
📚Defina Story Contest
Besides the game development, we will announce the winner of the Defina World View and Lore this week. Thanks again to all the writers from the community! VanguAart and Hipo are working on polishing the hero’s stories submitted from the first round of the story contest. And after revealing the World view, we will start co-creating the stories of the Defina World with the community together. This might be quite challenging and we don’t know how to proceed with the process yet, but I am sure it will be very exciting and meaningful to all the Definians as we will co-create the heroes and games together. Please also feel free to propose your idea about how we could co-create stories with the community. Maybe each faction could develop its own faction stories together?
🖼Upcoming Fan Art Contest
In addition to the story contest, we will host a Fan Art Contest this month!! We have so many talents in the community and we would love to put up your work on our website and give credit to you for the things you create. Let’s “create-to-earn” with Defina! More details of the Fan Art contest will be revealed soon.
Harbinger Player Airdrops
Lastly, Harbingers were closed on October 31st. We want to thank our previous players and supporters. We will send out a guide to let you submit your info to get a Special Phoenix NFT. The design of the NFT and airdrop will be done in November, more details will be shared in an article.
